Hello, Product Designers and Creatives!
Today, I want to share a quick and easy technique to enhance your design workflow. This straightforward method involves generating an image in Midjourney and editing it into a vector file using Figma. The beauty of this approach lies in its simplicity and the creative freedom it offers. You can easily change the colors and shapes of your vectors, making it a great tool for customization.
Here are the steps:
Generate an Image in Midjourney: Begin by generating an icon image in Midjourney. For instance, I created four camera icon images and chose one to work with.
Copy your Image: Once you've selected the icon you want to use, copy it.
Use Vectorizer.AI: Next, navigate to Vectorizer.AI. You'll paste your copied image (Command+V) to upload the JPEG.
View and Download your Vector File: After uploading, you can view the results and download your file as a vector. There are various options available for your download format, including SVG, and additional parameters to customize your file.
Edit in Figma: Once your vector file is downloaded, open Figma and import your file. From here, the world is your oyster! Play around with colors, tweak the shapes, and make the design truly your own.
This capability opens up new avenues of creativity and precision in your design work. It's a great opportunity to step up your game in product design and make your journey even more exciting.
